Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) students Andrew James J. Balquin and Joven C. The Eulogio “Amang” Rodriguez Institute of Science and Technology (EARIST) explored Tarlac Agricultural University’s (TAU) strategies and practices on international rankings and quality management during a visit at the TAU Agritourism Hostel Function Hall on 17 March .

Dr. Jerome D. Soriano, Director of the Quality Assurance (QA) Office, welcomed the EARIST representatives and introduced the TAU academic officials. Highlighting the significance of this collaboration, Dr. Soriano stated that the TAU community is delighted to host EARIST for the benchmarking activity. He emphasized that it was another opportunity to share best practices and expressed hope that these could be implemented at EARIST.

Committed to formalizing a partnership between TAU and EARIST to create more opportunities for their respective stakeholders, TAU President Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson expressed that a partnership agreement should be established to deepen their collaboration. “Through a MOA, we could provide more than just best practices in international rankings; we could also explore collaborative research opportunities,” Dr. Salunson said.

"Madali lang siguro ang course mo?"

"Marami bang ganap diyan? Parang wala masyado. Boring!"

"Ang hirap naman sa inyo. Ayoko niyan."

Sound familiar? TAUians hear these all the time from relatives and friends. But is there truth to these assumptions?

𝐆𝐋𝐈𝐌𝐏𝐒𝐄𝐒 is here to set the record straight! This series of 80-second videos—TAU’s tribute to its 80th Founding Anniversary—aims to showcase the real and unfiltered stories of students from 19 departments across six colleges.

The Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) through the National Service Training Program (NSTP), Gender and Development (GAD) office, College of Arts and Sciences (CAS), and the University Disaster Risk Reduction Management (UDRRM) spearheaded a training on basic life support, first-aid procedures, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) administration to the senior high-school students of TAU Laboratory School (LS) at the TAU - Covered Court from 17-19 March.

In coordination with the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO), said activity is part of the celebration of National Women’s Month that aims to prepare the students and respond effectively in real-life scenarios.

The training commenced with theoretical discussions facilitated by the PDRRMO Training Officer Mr. Sherwin Rosales and his team, where they emphasized the role of every individual, regardless of gender preferences, in actual circumstances. He also led the facilitation of experiential learning in giving emergency care, handling patients in shock, demonstration of bandaging, proper treatment of wounds, and other diverse scenarios.
