Long weekend ahead, TAUians!
As we honor the life and legacy of Senator Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino, Jr., the Malacañang Palace, per Proclamation No. 665, declares 23 August (Friday) a special non-working holiday throughout the country.
Said proclamation aims to provide longer rest for employees and promote domestic tourism, as long as the historical significance of Ninoy Aquino Day is observed. Hence, the holiday originally set every August 21st of the year has been moved to Friday, 23 August.
