The finest storytellers from Tarlac Agricultural University’s (TAU) Department of Development Communication lit up the silver screen as the 2025 PelikulAgraryo Regional Awards unfolded at the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Regional Office Conference Hall in the City of San Fernando, Pampanga, 1 July—showcasing a powerful celebration of youth-driven advocacy through film.

Delivering a landmark performance in the Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Organizations (ARBO) category, TAU’s student-produced film Rang-Ay clinched Best Film and swept six out of seven major awards, including Best Editing, Best Screenplay, Best Actor, Best Actress, and Best Director. With this victory, Rang-Ay is set to represent Central Luzon in the national PelikulAgraryo competition this August.

𝐂𝐀𝐏𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐄𝐃 𝐈𝐍 𝐋𝐄𝐍𝐒 | Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) formally seals its collaboration with eight agricultural organizations during the official launch of “Smart Agriculture, Gearing Towards Food Security and Sustainability: A Showcase of Smart Agriculture Through Vegetable Derby and Harvest Festival,” held at the Office of the President (OP) Conference Hall, 30 June.

The Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) includes driving agricultural development through vegetable production by seed and fertilizer companies namely Philippine Seed Industry Association, Pilipinas Kaneko Seeds Corporation, Ramgo International Corporation, Enviro Scope Synergy, Inc., East West Seed Company Inc., Advanta Seed Philippines Inc., Chia Tai Philippines Incorporated, and the Department of Agriculture (DA) - Regional Field Office (RFO) III. This MOA aims for partner institutions to collaborate with farmers and agricultural experts to develop and present high-quality vegetable varieties with improved characteristics.
