CAF, CAS students qualify for UMAP Thailand flagship master class

As an uncertain future looms, University Mobility in Asia and the Pacific (UMAP) Thailand, Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, and King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) welcomed four Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) students to enrol in the Thailand UMAP Micro-Credentials (MCC) program and prepare them for the great shifts in technological and societal frontiers.

Set to roll out on 31 January 2022, the pilot project was divided in two strands. The members of the TAU delegate, comprised of Tirso L. Renante Jr. and  Jayson D. Enriquez of College of Agriculture and Forestry and Bren Noah M. Nieto and Joyce J. Munda of College of Arts and Sciences, will earn credentials in Strand B which is designed to develop the participants’ competency in Data Science, Persuasive Presentation, and Cultural Dimensions in Communication.

TAU culminates virtual exchange program for 6 Indonesian HEIs, banks on stable relations to further research, visiting faculty agreements

Carrying through its commitments to its partners, Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) lauded 17 virtual exchange students from Indonesia during the Virtual Student Exchange Program Closing Ceremony on 28 January.

Six Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) namely Universitas Pancasakti Tegal (UPT), Universitas Swadaya Gunung Jati (USGJ),  Universitas PGRI Semarang (UPGRIS), Universitas Brawijaya (UB), Universitas Tidar (UT), and Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Ekonomi Yogyakarta (STIEY) sent their finest students which were accommodated by five TAU colleges during the first semester of the academic year 2021-2022.

TAU conducts annual performance review and planning workshop

The Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) virtually conducted its annual performance review and planning workshop last January 19 – 20 to assess its performance for the previous fiscal year and to explore strategies to continue meeting its institutional targets and objectives.

The event started with the welcome remarks and the introduction of the guest speaker by TAU President Max. P. Guillermo.

Indonesian HEI leads off CommTECH 2022, invites TAU

Indonesia’s most sustainable university, Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS), commenced its CommTECH 2022 and convened industry giants, Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), and organizations from China, the United Kingdom, and Southeast Asia virtually on 17 January. The Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) delegation was represented by the Office of the External Linkages and International Affairs (ELIA) headed by its Director, Dr. Christine N. Ferrer.

CommTECH is an ITS program which seeks to engage students, academicians, and professionals to create an ecosystem that explores how society works alongside technology through content generation and curation and data mining. It includes subcourses on Smart City Applications, Cognitive Ergonomics, Zero Waste, and Indonesian Creative Designs which will be offered in the first quarter of 2022.

CAF trainees round off Indonesian short course

Selamat pagi!

More than the usual courtesy, Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) global ambassadors learned about Indonesia’s heritage during the Fun Bahasa Indonesia and Cultural Course (FBICC) offered by the Institut Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) Surabaya from November 2021 to January 2022.

Two students from TAU - College of Agriculture and Forestry (CAF) joined hundreds of scholars across the world. BS Agriculture students, Ms. Melanie R. Waje and Mr. Tirso L. Renante Jr., studied language lessons necessary for travel, shopping, and daily interaction.

As Asian EE congress unfolds, TAU sends 6 student ambassadors

Buoyed by a dynamic economy despite climate, security, and public health challenges, Asia remains committed to  building stronger regional and country-level networks and creating a sustainable future through the 2021 Asia Pacific Virtual Environment Education (EE) Forum held on 30 November to 2 December 2021.

The three-day online conference, hosted by Taiwan, was mapped out to strengthen environmental education in the Asia-Pacific region and involved thousands of youth leaders, advocates, and scholars.
