Guided by the evocative theme, "The Games of Districts: Linkage of Counterparts Uniquely Played," the College of Engineering and Technology (CET) at Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) officially ignited its highly anticipated CET Week 2026 on 4 February.Β Β
Organized by CET under the leadership of Dean Dr. Ruben A. Parazo and the College Student Council (CSC), the festivities began with a Grand Parade of Colors, which painted the campus in a kaleidoscope. Student, faculty, and staff contingents marched from the Administration Building through the Universityβs major landmarks, eventually converging at the CET grounds.Β
The parade was followed immediately by an Opening Program at the Laboratory School (LS), honored by the University President Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson and other University officials. Afterwhich, an intellectually stimulating General Seminar focused on professional development.
The afternoon buzzed with a different kind of energy as the official Inaugural Event paved the way for the opening of organization booths. The first day reached its competitive peak with a diverse lineup of talent showcases held simultaneously across the campus. Knowledge was also tested during the "Battle of the Brains Overload (B.O.B.O)" quiz bee, while the LS Court and various conference rooms resonated with creativity and skills exhibition of students through singing, visual arts, and literary arts contests.Β
These events showcased a rich spectrum of talent, proving that CET students possess a depth of skill that reaches far beyond technical blueprints. By blending pageantry with academic and artistic rigor, Day 1 of CET Week 2026 successfully set a high standard for the days to come, celebrating the holistic spirit of its vibrant student community.
