In a bid to translate research to marketable solutions, team Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) engaged in the PITCH IT SMART: Technology that Sells workshop at the Old Sanguniang Panlalawigan Hall in the Tarlac Capitol on 19 June.
Steered by the Provincial Government of Tarlac (PGT) and the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) - Provincial Science and Technology Office, the workshop culminated in a pitching competition where researchers presented their innovations to a panel.
TAU made a strong showing, with Ms. Susana D. Ramos, faculty from College of Agriculture and Forestry (CAF), securing 3rd Place Best Pitch for her nutrient-rich Nutritea. Meanwhile, Ms. Myrla U. Ramos, also CAF faculty member, impressed the evaluators with her innovative Chocolate-Flavored Cowpea Beverage, highlighting the potential of underutilized crops.
