The Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) - SDO invites TAUians to witness and celebrate heritage and diversity through cultural gala and showcase of talents in the 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 𝐅𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐓𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 with the theme “Hakbang ng Kultura: “Isang Paglalakbay Dala ang Sining at Kultura sa Makabagong Panahon” on 25 April and 2 May.

From the magic of storytelling, pagkukuwento, and spoken poetry to thought-provoking essays and compelling sanaysay, TAU-SDO prepared an exciting lineup of competitions, including the much-anticipated search for 2025 Mr. and Ms. TAU.

𝐂𝐇𝐑𝐎𝐍𝐈𝐂𝐋𝐄𝐒 | 𝐓𝐀𝐔 𝐝𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐬 𝐚𝐭 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐃𝐚𝐲

The Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) Planning and Development Office (PDO) in collaboration with the Office of Vice President for Research, Extension and Training, College of Engineering and Technology (CET) - Computer Studies Department, CET Student Council, and DevCon Pampanga Chapter, participated in the localized celebration of 2025 National Innovation Day (NID) through a forum at the TAU Student and Alumni Center Amphitheater, 21 April.

Reinforcing its vision to emerge as a global leader in smart agriculture and bioresources research, TAU invited resource speakers who highlighted cutting-edge technologies and research initiatives. 

During the morning session, Mr. Jay Marc Valdez, Associate Manager for Data Engineering from DXC Technology, mentioned about life’s challenges and encouraged the students to pursue innovation through perseverance and dedication before the presentation of team 403-Access Denied, who won the Hackathon Trailblazer Award.

𝐂𝐇𝐑𝐎𝐍𝐈𝐂𝐋𝐄𝐒 | 𝐓𝐀𝐔 𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐲 𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐬, 𝐧𝐨𝐧-𝐚𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐟𝐟 𝐮𝐩𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐆𝐊𝐄𝐒' 𝟑𝐫𝐝 𝐒𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧

The firm support for its community led the Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) to empower its faculty members and non-academic staff through the Global Knowledge Exchange Series (GKES) Session 3 themed “Enhancing Employee Performance: Utilizing Employees to the Fullest”, held virtually via Zoom on 11 April. This session was a collaborative undertaking between the TAU - External Linkages and International Affairs (ELIA) and Human Resource Management Office (HRMO).

GKES Session 3 featured Dr. Vivek Vinayakrao Wankhede, Chief Human Resource Officer and Assistant Professor at Sanjivani University, India who served as the resource speaker during the event.

Dr. Arnold R. Lorenzo, Vice President for Finance and Administration (VPFA), officially welcomed Dr. Wankhede and all participants. He also reiterated the importance of engaging in such events to enhance employees’ skills and competencies in the workplace.

𝐂𝐀𝐏𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐄𝐃 𝐈𝐍 𝐋𝐄𝐍𝐒 | To equip the campus journalists of Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) with tools needed to thrive in a fast-paced modern world, the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS), spearheaded by its Dean Dr. Sherwin S. Alar, conducts a seminar titled “Inkredible Ink: The New Age of Campus Journalism” at the Bamboo Training Center (BTC), 24 April.

Aiming to provide student writers and social media moderators with a comprehensive understanding of both traditional reporting and modern digital storytelling techniques, said event features in-house speakers who introduce the blending of traditional reporting with cutting-edge digital storytelling.

𝐂𝐀𝐏𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐄𝐃 𝐈𝐍 𝐋𝐄𝐍𝐒 | Dismantling stereotypes and forging warriors for democracy, the Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) - College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) in collaboration with student organization Mulat TAU: Debate Society awakens the political spirit of TAU students through a seminar titled “MAKIALAM TAU: A Voter Education Seminar” at the TAU Student and Alumni Center - Amphitheater, 24 April.

The forum includes discussions on the importance of young people's vote, breaking the stigma on women's participation in politics, and addressing the student’s queries about the midyear election.

𝐂𝐀𝐏𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐄𝐃 𝐈𝐍 𝐋𝐄𝐍𝐒 | Delegates from Palawan State University (PalawanSU) - Main Campus visit Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) to benchmark best practices in research and extension initiatives at the TAU President’s Office, 25 April.

PalawanSU contingent led by Mr. Roy Albert Acosta, Ms. Remelyn Feliciano, and Mr. Lesbert Bayanay interacts with TAU President Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson; Vice President for Research Extension and Training (VPRET) Dr. Edmar N. Franquera; Director of Department of Extension and Training (DET) Dr. Agnes C. Perey; and DET staff.

During the discussion, PalawanSU inquires about TAU’s strategies for research innovation and institutional framework on how to achieve sustainable impact to which Dr. Salunson emphasizes the critical role of the University’s faculty, staff, and researchers in driving quality outcomes. He also mentions the data-driven Department Performance and Commitment Review (DPCR) targets that serve as a key component in monitoring the performance indicators of TAU’s departments, units, offices, and colleges and the conduct of various training and extension activities held at TAU in collaboration with different agencies.

𝐂𝐀𝐏𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐄𝐃 𝐈𝐍 𝐋𝐄𝐍𝐒 | The Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) serves as one of the venues for the 2025 Central Luzon Regional Athletic Association (CLRAA) Meet by providing facilities for the use of Taekwondo athletes from 21-27 April.

In coordination with the Schools Division of Tarlac Province and the Provincial Government of Tarlac (PGT), TAU ensures seamless operations from venue preparation to athlete welfare services.

The University’s support reflects its commitment to grassroots sports development and youth empowerment.
