MMSU shares growth blueprint to TAU AdCo, staff
Revolving around development prospects in research, industry 4.0, quality assurance, and international mobility, an inter-institutional dialogue was conducted by the leadership of Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU) headed by President Shirley C. Agrupis in coordination with members of Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) Administrative Council (AdCo) and several teaching and non-teaching staff on 12 September.
During the protocol visit in her office, Dr. Agrupis imparted MMSUβs successes in its implementation of SMART Campus plan including the digitization of various operational documents, especially those related to human resources. Dr. Agrupis further stressed that data analytics helped her in making fast, relevant, and accurate decisions.
AdCo members, Dr. Yolanda S. Guillermo, OIC Vice President for Research, Extension, and Training, and Ms. Yolanda F. Juan, OIC Vice for President Finance and Administration, conveyed TAUβs gratitude to MMSU for always opening its doors to the TAU community as MMSU also hosted university officials and staff during the External Linkages and International Affairs (ELIA)-sponsored Collaborative Planning Sessions and Internationalization (IZN) Benchmarking on 19-21 May 2022.
Following the courtesy call, the TAU delegation was welcomed in the Center for Flexible Learning for a benchmarking session. Also, personnel from TAU Planning and Development Office (PDO) visited the universityβs hyflex rooms and inspected state-of-the-art XR equipment while TAUβs Medical and Dental Services team conferred with their counterparts at MMSUβs infirmary.
MMSU is an internationally recognized higher education institution (HEI), consistently featured in Times Higher Education Impact Rankings, QS Stars Rating System, World Universities with Real Impact (WURI), and UI Green Metric.
Organized by PDO in collaboration with ELIA, said activities were a continuation of TAUβs Futureβs Thinking and Foresight Capacity Building which will end on 22 September with Framing the Futures workshop.
A day earlier, TAU participants toured Ilocos Norteβs must-see places- Paoay Lake, Suba Sand Dunes, and St. Augustine Church- and took part in the teambuilding activity spearheaded by the Gender and Development Office (GAD).
