After 14 years, the TAU community now welcomes its new president- Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson. Dr. Salunson is the current Dean of TAU - College of Business and Management. He is a seasoned administrator, researcher, and educator, working in the government for decades, ensuring the delivery of quality public service.
ย
As the University enters another cycle in its 78-year history, Dr. Salunson will steer TAU through times of crises and opportunities, slump, stability, or growth, and inherit the historic legacy to be handed over by the administration of Dr. Max P. Guillermo. He will also face the challenges of times brought about by a rapidly changing world that is vulnerable to the evolving international order, technological disruptions, environmental degradation, and even shifts in social and political structures.
ย
All of these may seem insurmountable but with all hands on deck, nothing is impossible. TAUians have proven this in the past. TAU is the first state college to be institutionally accredited, first state college to be converted into a state university via CHEDโs merit-based system, and first state university to be ranked in the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings among others. Truly, TAU may be small, resource-limited, and to others, just one of many millions of green dots on the map, but it is indeed the brightest green spot for many who call it their home.
ย
The TAU students, alumni, faculty, non-teaching, and partners eagerly look forward to collaborating and working with you, Dr. Salunson. May God bless your leadership and guide you to make compassionate, moral, and ethical decisions in your term.
