“We are a young university and we need the support of a strong university like TAU.”
Dr. Levy B. Arago Jr.
President, Mindoro State University
Officials from the Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) vowed to help Mindoro State University (MinSU) in its academic, research, and internationalization programs after signing an agreement with the latter’s administrative council on 29 April.
Dr. Levy B. Arago Jr, MinSU President, called TAU as MinSU’s “new development partner” and wishes that the Memorandum of Understanding serves as an “initial step towards a higher level of engagement.”
TAU President, Dr. Max P. Guillermo said he is excited to collaborate with a higher education institution (HEI) “with values similar to TAU.” “We have always advocated for partnerships with HEIs which can help us realize our mission and vision,” Dr. Guillermo continued.
Meanwhile, Dr. Christine N. Ferrer, Director of External Linkages and International Affairs, expressed her intention to work with MinSU in implementing Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) “in the spirit of national solidarity.”
MinSU, formerly known as Mindoro State College of Agriculture and Technology (MinSCAT), was converted to a university in 2021 by virtue of Republic Act No. 10596. Located in Oriental Mindoro, MinSU is committed to advance agriculture, technology, and other disciplines to benefit ordinary Mindoreños.
