Ushering a new era in its nine-year history as a full-fledged University, the Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) unveiled its new ten-year strategy framework during the Convocation Program held at the Gilberto O. Teodoro Multipurpose Center, 6 May.Β

Conceived by the University’s Administrative Council (AdCo) in partnership with the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP) and duly approved by its Board of Regents (BOR) on 28 February, the said operational blueprint was introduced by TAU President Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson through an address and later via ceremonial curtain reveal.Β

Enshrining an updated and relevant vision and mission, the comprehensive plan for institutional operations and development positions TAU for transformational growth as a globally competitive smart agricultural university. It also outlines 14 strategic goals across academic excellence, research innovation, administrative efficiency, and sustainability, all aligned with national priorities and global agendas.

Developed through extensive stakeholder collaboration, the framework further emphasizes technology-driven education, climate-smart research, and community-responsive programs. It builds on TAU's core values of resilience, agility, innovation, sustainability and excellence to address pressing agricultural challenges while preparing future-ready graduates. The matrix also strengthens the University's commitment to green campus initiatives and strategic partnerships for regional and global impact.

Dr. Salunson, who also reported on the state of the University, emphasized that every classroom breakthrough, research discovery, and community initiative brings TAU closer to realizing its vision of becoming a premier smart agricultural university. β€œSoar high, TAU, for a smarter future! As we embrace this transformative decade, let our collective efforts in education, innovation, and sustainable agriculture propel us toward global recognition,” Dr. Salunson affirmed.
