Acclaimed for β€œbringing immense pride and honor to the Region for consistently producing topnotchers in the Board Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (BLEPT) conducted between January 2024 and October 2024,” Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) was acknowledged by the Commission on Higher Education Regional Office III (CHEdRO III) during the Executive Summit for SUC Presidents and Key Officials at Best Western Metro Clark in Angeles City on 15 October.
Β
Representing TAU in the conference were Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson, TAU president; Dr. Arnold R. Lorenzo, vice president for Finance and Administration (VPFA); Dr. Sonny DC. Torres, vice president for Academic and Student Affairs (VPASA); Dr. Leonell P. Lijauco, vice president for Planning and Quality Assurance (VPPQA); and Ms. Maria Regina M. Pablo, director of Admission and Registration Services (ARS).
Β
β€œI’m hoping that we could also replicate this best practice to all of our programs with board examinations,” Dr. Salunson later remarked as he outlined his future academic plans for TAU. β€œWe will intensify our review and coaching sessions for our graduates,” the TAU executive added while also expressing his gratitude for the leadership and faculty of the College of Education (CEd) for their commendable contributions to the advancement of quality education and reputation of the University. β€œThis citation truly reflects CEd’s Center of Excellence (COE) status,” Dr. Salunson commented.

This distinction came after Ms. Brendee J. Sibal, CEd alumna, made the University community proud as she secured the eighth place in the March 2024 BLEPT - Elementary Level.
Aside from receiving the award, the TAU delegation participated in the ensuing discussions about current national and regional data and their implications to SUCs, observation and recommendation of the Regional Evaluation Committee for faculty reclassification, and issuance of Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC).
