Mid-level managers from Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) and Pampanga State Agricultural University (PSAU) embarked on bilateral discussions during a benchmarking and partnership development meeting at AgriTourism Hostel Function Hall on 17 October.
The PSAU delegation was welcomed by Ms. Yolanda F. Juan, OIC Vice President for Finance and Administration, by underscoring how similar PSAU and TAU are as both state universities and colleges (SUCs) specialize in agricultural education and research thus, may learn from each otherโs supervisory experiences.
Emphasizing the sharing of effective operational strategies while exploring collaboration on various fronts of service delivery, several TAU officials interacted with their counterparts from PSAU.
Leaders and representatives from the Planning and Development Office (PDO), Human Resource Management Unit (HRMU), Financial Services, Property and Supply Management Unit, Records Management Unit, Medical and Dental Unit, and Procurement Management Unit, imparted how seamless functioning of various departments fostered an environment of innovation and teamwork at TAU.
Working in silos as a threat to an organizationโs culture of excellence was also the focus of Mr. Marlon B. Espedillon, Director of External Linkages and International Affairs (ELIA), during his closing remarks. โBy creating a synergistic environment, expertise is shared, innovative ideas are born, and the overall efficiency and productivity of the organization are enhanced. Such initiatives are instrumental in achieving organizational efficiency and fostering a positive workplace culture,โ Mr. Espedillon underscored.
