DRD Facilitates Student Orientation on DRD Policies and Guidelines Webinar
To educate students about the policies and guidelines of Tarlac Agricultural University in doing student research, the Department of Research and Development (DRD) launched the “Student Orientation on DRD Policies and Guidelines” webinar last January 20, 2023, via Zoom.
The webinar aimed to inform students about the process and ethics of undergraduate studies from application to ownership of intellectual property rights.
Dr. Danny N. Officiar, Vice President for Student Affairs and Services, started the program by welcoming the participants of the said event.
DRD Director Maria Elena T. Caguioa Ph.D., on the other hand, presented the Research and Development Agenda of the academe.
Furthermore, Ms. Ma. Koleen P. Buenaventura, Agricultural Technologist, tackled essential information when applying for undergraduate studies.
Science Research Assistants, Mr. Robert John C. Gabriel and Ms. Mary Joy S. Lictawa, discussed the process when applying for the University Research Ethics and Anti-Plagiarism Certificates, respectively.
Dr. Sinamar E. Estudillo, Innovation & Technology Support Office (ITSO) Chief, spoke about the application for Intellectual Property Rights.
Finally, Mr. Eric Lindbergh C. Inovejas, DRD Assistant Director, stressed the importance of research in our community and expressed his thanks to all participants and encouraged students to consult their respective college research coordinators if there are queries about research. “Research is an essential component of a well-functioning society…” Inovejas added.
