DA-RIII taps TAU expert to conduct training on Value Chain Analysis under MAYA Program
The Department of Agriculture – Region III taps TAU expert to conduct a 3-day training on Value Chain Analysis which was held at CLIARC, Agricultural Technology Building, Paraiso, Tarlac City last March 22-25.
The Department of Agriculture Region III headed by Regional Executive Director Crispulo G. Bautista, Jr. initiated the conduct of the training under the Mentoring and Attracting Youth on Agribusiness (MAYA) Program.
They tapped Mr. Bryan B. Rabonza, instructor at TAU’s College of Agriculture and Forestry, to be the resource speaker of the said training.
Mr. Rabonza is an agriculturist and an environmental planner with expertise in Economics, Entrepreneurship and Marketing. He shared his knowledge and expertise to meet the main objective of the training which is to analyze the value chains for rice and vegetables.
The training was also intended for and participated by nineteen (19) researchers and interns of the department under their MAYA program. MAYA is an internship program of the department aimed to develop and employ a young cadre of highly skilled, committed, innovative and highly competitive agribusiness entrepreneurs and government personnel.
