After many years, The Golden Harvest (GH), the official student publication of Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU), has returned as one of the regionโ€™s top-performing publications after it secured the 7th place in the overall group category and 10th place in the overall individual category at the 23rd Regional Higher Education Press Conference (RHEPC III), held from 5-7 February in Arayat, Pampanga.
ย
Competing against 37 student publications, GH clinched an impressive haul of 24 group awards, excelling in categories such as newsletter, literary folio, magazine, and radio broadcasting. In the individual category, GH earned 17 awards, with four staff members qualifying for the Luzon-wide Higher Education Press Conference (LHEPC). Among them were News Editor Marc Joshua T. Dela Cruz and Junior Graphic Artist John Bernard D. Doria, who both earned 19 points and ranked fourth overall in the individual tally.

The event, organized by the Association of Tertiary School Paper Advisers of Region III (ATSPAR III) in partnership with the Commission on Higher Education Region III (CHEDRO III) and the Young Journalists Association of Region III (YJAR III), convened 541 campus journalists from various higher education institutions.
ย
In a Facebook post, Dr. Danilo N. Oficiar, Director of the Office of Student Services and Development (OSSD), commended GH for its remarkable achievements and expressed immense pride in the organizationโ€™s contributions to campus journalism.

Similarly, GH Editor-in-Chief Jayron Mark R. Dela Cruz thanked his fellow editors and staff; advisers Ms. Hasmine Arielle G. Mariano and Ms. Sharlene Mae M. Domingo; and moderator Mr. Jerome L. Duque, and reminded the current members of GH that their journey was not yet over, emphasizing that the true struggle extends beyond competitions.
ย
Looking ahead, GHโ€™s qualifiers are set to represent Central Luzon at the LHEPC in Lucban, Quezon, from 2-4 April.
