Ensuring a timely implementation of the many stages of research and related initiatives is a challenge for the 29 member-institutions of Central Luzon Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development Consortium (CLAARRDEC). To remedy this, CLAARRDEC, through Central Luzon State University (CLSU), initiated the utilization of Database Management and Real Time Monitoring System (RTMS). For its part, Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) concurred by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with CLAARRDEC at the Office of the President Conference Room on 22 April

Representing TAU is its President, Dr. Max P. Guillermo, who expressed his full support for this initiative. Dr. Guillermo was joined by the focal person for research, Mr. Frederick G. Hilario, and focal person for extension, Ms. Jessie Christine P. Tongol. Meanwhile, Mr. Marlon A. Naagas, Project Leader, signed on behalf of CLAARRDEC. Mr. Naagas was accompanied by Ms. Camille Rabang, Research Analysts, and other staff from CLAARDEC.

CLAARDEC champions R&D in agriculture, aquatic, and natural resources-related disciplines. Due to the pandemic, projects supported by CLAARRDEC became increasingly difficult to track, thus the inception of RTMS. In addition, submitted data were consolidated in the annual report. Such use of digital technologies improves the monitoring and evaluation of R&D efforts..Β

The RTMS is funded by the Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development (PCAARRD).Β
