In pursuit of institutional excellence, the Quality Assurance (QA) office spearheaded a two-day training-workshop titled โEmpowering Excellence: Gender-Based Capability Enhancement for Quality Assurance Through Accreditationโ at the AgriTourism Hostel Function Hall, 3-4 April.ย
A gender-inclusive framework that aimed to prepare the select faculty members and staff from the Universityโs six colleges for Level IV Phase 2 of Accreditation Survey Visit, the event kicked-off with informative sessions led by Dr. Rene G. Nanit, Chairperson of Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (BECEd), who steered the orientation with a deep dive into the role of research followed by Dr. Ma Theresa B. Nardo, Director of Gender and Development (GAD) office, who stressed the need for data-driven and learning methodologies.
In addition, Dr. Agnes C. Perey, the Director of Department of Extension and Training (DET), continued the morning session on community service and outreach programs. Dr. Benny S. Soliman, Director of External Linkages and International Affairs (ELIA) office, explored strategies and highlighted the ideas on strengthening international linkages.ย
To end with the morning session, Dr. Geraldin B. Dela Cruz, the Director of the Internal Audit Office, discussed the strategies on planning processes and quality assurance, goals to measure, and gender-awareness outcomes.
The event continued with breakout sessions, consultations, and presentation of outputs of the participants.
