ππππππππππ | TAU-HRMO carries out oath-taking of newly promoted faculty members
The Tarlac Agricultural University-Human Resource and Management Office (HRMO) administered the oath-taking ceremony of 74 newly promoted faculty members before the University President Dr. Max P. Guillermo and other officials,Β at the Student Alumni Center Amphitheater, 23 April, following the release of the initial batch of the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) and Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Joint Circular No. 3, s. 2022 (JC 3) results.
Among the promoted faculty members are 12 from the College of Agriculture and Forestry (CAF); 17 from the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS); five from the College of Business and Administration (CBM); 19 from the College of Education (CoEd); 18 from the College of Engineering and Technology (CET); and three from the College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM).Β Out of these, one is now Professor VI; two are already Professor V; six are Associate Professor V; seven are Associate Professor IV; four are Associate Professor III; four are Associate Professor II; and four are Associate Professor I.Β Β
In addition, the University gained another four Assistant Professor IV; one Assistant Professor III; five Assistant Professor II; and eight Assistant Professor I aside from 19 Instructor III; and nine Instructor II. These faculty members earned their new academic ranks after undergoing evaluation based on their accomplishments in the areas of instruction; research, inventions, and creative work; extension; and professional development within the assessment period of the JC 3.
This is the first time that JC 3 has been enacted which provides policies for faculty reclassification in State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) all over the Philippines. JC specifies guidelines for accreditation processes as well as standardizing faculty promotion mechanisms across SUCs.
In demonstrating their enthusiasm for the improvement of quality and professional development, these faculty members have actively sought higher academic ranks. They work on research, extension, instruction, and production requirements to continually improve their learning while ensuring quality education remains accessible for all. With this promotion comes a commitment towards knowledge advancement and dissemination as well as an understanding that there are duties owed not only to students but also to colleagues within oneβs rank or file, to the University, and to the many communities it serves.
