Through a collaborative effort to enhance the global competence of Information Technology (IT) students, the Sekolah Tinggi Informatika dan Komputer Indonesia (STIKI) Malang partnered with Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) for a Team Teaching program focused on Information Systems and Informatics Engineering from 26-27 March 2025.
Two IT instructors from TAUโCollege of Engineering and Technology (CET) namely, Mr. Renel F. Dumlao and Mr. Bryan Paul Danganan delivered lectures to STIKI students via Zoom.
Through their discussion, Mr. Dumlao elaborated on Informatics Engineering by introducing machine-to-machine (M2M) communication and the Internet of Things (IoT). He also explained how IoT connects to market perspectives, helping to identify trends and digital products relevant to consumers.
Meanwhile, Mr. Danganan emphasized the fundamentals of mobile programming and how to navigate its development environment. Students gained knowledge on software development including the use of programming languages for coding and user interface (UI) design.
In December 2024, TAU and STIKI renewed their partnership agreement through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) thereby securing another five years of collaboration. This initiative includes activities such as students and staff mobility exchanges, joint courses and language teaching programs, online collaborative teaching and learning classes (digital classes) and more.
