The Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) through the College of Business and Management (CBM) organized a three-day CBM Week that provides a healthy balance between students’ academic pursuits and social-interaction. Filled with a variety of fun games and activities, the event highlights the initiative of CBM blend academics, with social-interaction, and leadership programs. With the theme titled β€œβ€˜SAIL’ β€” Uniting Passion and Purpose in the Sea,” the event gathered the students in various venues from 13-15, November.

Facilitated by the CBM students organizations namely: Society for Human Resources Management Students; Junior Marketing Society; The Executives; Agribusiness Society; Young Entrepreneurs Society; Tourism Society; and CBM Student Council, with the guidance of CBM Dean, Dr. Erlie SD. Totaan, and CBM’s faculty and staff, the event successfully launched a dazzling parade of colors, yell competition, leadership seminar, booths, quiz bowl competition, business pitching, and Queen CBM 2024.

The second day started with great anticipation with the Foam Fun Run in which students sprinted at the University grounds and concluded at the TAU Maingate with a burst of snow-like foams. Then, participants danced to the upbeat music in a lively session of Zumba, ushering in energy for the entire day. The Org Olympics came next, in which students participated in team-based games that encourage camaraderie and sportsmanship. The day ended with students cheering for their peers in the Mr. and Ms. CBM 2024 pageant, where the representatives of *organizations* grabbed the crown.

On the final day, students, faculty and staff, and guests concluded the event through a Socialization Night in their β€œOne Piece” outfits, celebrating solidarity, inclusiveness, and diversity.

CBM Week 2024 demonstrated the college’s commitment to cultivating not only academic excellence but also social and personal growth. Through its diverse and engaging lineup of activities, the event reminded students of the importance of balancing their studies with opportunities to connect and recharge. The celebration reinforced CBM’s mission to produce well-rounded, passionate individuals ready to navigate life’s challenges with purpose and confidence.
