In a press release, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced that 16 TAU alumni have passed the Veterinarian Licensure Examination (VLE) 2024, recording a 17.39 percent passing rateβ€”a significant increase from last year’s rating which stood at only 3.33 percent.

The College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) Dean Dr. Lavina Gracia M. Ramirez commended the passers for acing the VLE 2024. β€œOn behalf of your CVM family, with pride and admiration, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to the newly-licensed veterinarians. We know that it has not been easy because you battled hard but emerged victorious,” Dr. Ramirez shared.
Β
The CVM's top leader also praised this feat as another achievement, highlighting it as a testament to dedication, passion, and hard work of CVM graduates and faculty, and welcomed the VLE 2024 passers to the ranks of esteemed veterinary professionals.

Empathizing with those who did not make it, Dr. Ramirez also acknowledged the courage it took them to face the momentary setback. β€œEvery moment is a chance for growth, and sometimes, not making it is a step toward a better path you haven't seen yet. Keep going; your journey is still unfolding,” she stressed.

Accepting the challenge of improving TAU’s performance in succeeding VLEs, Dr. Ramirez said that the CVM planned to roll out various strategies, including the enhancement of the Knowledge Proficiency and Assistance Program (KPAP), strengthening tutorial sessions for graduates, implementing support programs for VLE takers, enforcing a strict audit course, hiring additional faculty, and advancing faculty development for expertise in veterinary fields.

With these initiatives and continuous administrative support, the college aims to improve board examination outcomes and achieve sustained success in future VLE editions.
