Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) successfully concluded its three-day Internal Quality Audit (IQA) Training Program held at the Bamboo Training Center Function Hall from 7-9 May. The intensive workshop, themed "Inclusive Internal Audit & Reporting: Advanced Techniques for Quality Management," featured Ms. Cynthia R. Ramirez as the resource speaker guiding participants through ISO 9001:2015 standards implementation.
The comprehensive training kicked off with inspiring messages from VP for Planning and Quality Assurance Dr. Leonell P. Lijauco, Gender and Development (GAD) Director Dr. Ma. Theresa B. Nardo, and TAU President Dr. Silveiro Ramon DC. Salunson. Throughout the first day, Ms. Ramirez expertly walked auditors through fundamental ISO concepts including process approach and leadership requirements, setting a strong foundation for the subsequent sessions.
Day two, a local holiday, saw participants diving deep into practical applications, with Ms. Ramirez facilitating hands-on workshops on risk planning and operational support clauses. The final day focused on crucial reporting skills, where attendees practiced writing nonconformity reports and opportunities for improvement under the speaker's expert supervision. The program culminated with awarding of certificates and closing remarks by VP for Finance and Administration Dr. Arnold R. Lorenzo.
Ms. Ramirez's engaging delivery and real-world examples proved invaluable, helping auditors bridge theory with TAU's actual quality management processes. Her expertise was particularly evident during the intensive workshop sessions where participants applied learned concepts to case studies. By equipping its quality auditors with enhanced skills, TAU reinforces its commitment to maintaining world-class standards across all its operations and services.
