Garnering 76 points, the College of Engineering and Technology (CET) snagged the overall championship title in the Festival of Talents, facilitated by the Sociocultural Development Office (SDO), in collaboration with Tarlac Agricultural Universityโ€™s six colleges and the Supreme Student Council (SSC), on 18-19 April.ย

CET captured four gold medals in Painting, Photography, Spoken Poetry, and Piano. In a message, CET Cultural Coordinator Engr. Donna Fay N. Labrador attributed her Collegeโ€™s victory to synergy and collaboration. โ€œNagtulungan po ang faculty at Student Council. Very supportive din po ang aming Dean. Pinili po namin best of the best po sa CET,โ€ Engr. Labrador commented

Likewise, Dr. Leonell P. Lijauco, CET Dean, commended the CET contenders and coaches. He also reminded the students not to forget their studies as these will give greater honor to them and their families.ย

Taking the second spot with 70 points, the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) secured the highest rank in Pagsulat ng Sanaysay, Story Telling, and Mr. TAU pageant. Coming in third place after scoring 62 points, College of Educationย  (CED) succeeded in Charcoal Rendering, Pencil Drawing, Vocal Solo OPM Pop, and Vocal Duet.ย ย

Contributing 30 points to CED, Mr. Wilfredo N. Solis is still in a state of disbelief. โ€œSa totoo lang po, up โ€˜til now di pa rin ako maka move on na nakuha ko iyong tatlong golds po,โ€ Mr. Solis told the Information Unit. Winning three of out of four golds of CED, Mr. Solis believes he is neither the most talented nor the best prepared. According to him, his winning strategy lies in planning and using creative techniques.ย

With two first place finishes each, the College of Business and Management (CBM) and College of Agriculture and Forestry (CAF) took the fourth and fifth place, respectively. CBM raised 56 points and took the number one spots in Pagkukuwento and Banduria while CAF attained 54 points and scored the highest in Classical Guitar and Ms. TAU.ย

Meanwhile, the Laboratory School with 32 points earned the penultimate rank and led in Poster Making and Essay Writing while the College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) landed the final slot with 19 points.

First place winners in each category will carry the flag of the University in the next Culture and the Arts Association of State Universities and Colleges (CAASUC) Region 3 Culture and the Arts Festival to be hosted by Bulacan State University (BulSU).ย
