ย
To prepare the accreditation team of the College of Business and Management (CBM), College of Arts and Sciences (CAS), and College of Education (CEd) for the preliminary survey visits of their new degree programs, the Quality Assurance (QA) Office spearheaded a seminar-orientation at the Tarlac Agricultural Universityโs (TAU) Agritourism Hostel Function Hall on 1 August.
ย
QA relayed that three of TAUโs tertiary programs: BS Tourism Management; BS Development Communication; and BS Technology and Livelihood Education, will be undergoing preparatory evaluation in 2024 by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines, Inc. (AACCUP).
ย
Representatives from the College of Agriculture and Forestry (CAF), College of Engineering and Technology (CET), and College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) also attended the training helmed by Dr. Niรฑo B. Corpuz, AACCUP accreditor and director of Tarlac State Universityโs (TSU) Office of QA.
ย
During the one-day session, Dr. Corpuz oriented the group about the areas and instrument, relevant documents, and rating system, answered queries during the open forum, and facilitated the workshop. โKayang-kaya ito ng TAU since you are already SUC Level IV at may mga international rankings rin kayo,โ Dr. Corpuz commented.
ย
Manifesting his unequivocal support for the QA, Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson, TAU president, expressed his gratitude for TAU-QA led by Dr. Jerome D. Soriano, director, and Mr. Marlon B. Espedillon, assistant director. The TAU president thanked Dr. Corpuz too, for his generosity.
ย
โQuality assurance is crucial for the creation, maintenance, and enhancement of value of institutions and organizations. In order to be relevant, TAU shall build upon its previous successes and seek to explore areas it hasnโt probed yet,โ Dr. Salunson emphasized in his message.
