𝐂𝐀𝐏𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐄𝐃 𝐈𝐍 𝐋𝐄𝐍𝐒 | To promote social connections, social justice, and inclusivity, the Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) through the Office of Student Services and Development (OSSD), conducts an β€œInclusion Awareness Campaign” in front of the Administration Building, 20 February.
Β
Aiming to raise awareness about the negative effects of exclusion and unconscious bias, the campaign sets up an information booth, provides flyers, and assembles a freedom wall that welcomes everyone in the TAU community.
Β
OSSD, in collaboration with the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS), Gender and Development (GAD) Office and student organizations, aims to educate the community that despite socioeconomic backgrounds, gender differences, ethnicity, and physical ability, every individual must not experience prejudice and exclusion and recognize the value of one other.
Β
The campaign also strives to promote a deeper understanding of RA 8353 The Anti-Rape Law of 1997, RA 7877 Anti Sexual Harrasment Act of 1995 and RA 9280 as amended by RA 10364 or Anti Trafficking in persons especially women and children.
Β
With efforts from Ms. Erika R. Prado, the Chief of Student Inclusion Unit in OSSD, along with faculty members from CAS and student organization leaders from TAU Bulalayaw and TAU Buklod-Lahi, the activity seeks to promote a safe space not only for students but for TAU stakeholders.
