𝐂𝐀𝐏𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐄𝐃 𝐈𝐍 𝐋𝐄𝐍𝐒 | The Tarlac Agricultural University’s (TAU) Civic Welfare and Training Service (CWTS) and Literacy Training Service (LTS) units under the National Service Training Program (NSTP), take the lead on the second day of "Waste Warriors," a university-wide waste management initiative, during the ongoing University Intramurals, 7 November.
Β
Mr. Romeo N. Nazaire Jr. and Ms. Dancel M. Cabintoy, CWTS and LTS coordinators under the supervision of the NSTP Director, Dr. Joven D. Valdez, instruct their students to act as the β€œWaste Warriors” during the three-day event.
Β
The "Waste Warriors" initiative started on the first day of the Intramurals and is set to end by the end of the said event on 8 November. Volunteers take the opportunity to participate actively in the initiative of the NSTP, CWTS, and LTS to promote a clean and sustainable campus. They also encourage their peers to segregate their waste properly and observe cleanliness around the campus.
Β
This commitment to environmental sustainability manifests TAU's support in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) through an environment-conscious campus.
Β
The NSTP Office strives to inspire the rest of the students, staff, and members of the TAU community about the university's vision of creating an academically sustainable and environmentally-friendly campus.
