TAUians’ participation in the exercise also highlights their ability to act promptly and adequately during emergencies. In participating in this activity, TAUians show their readiness for an earthquake; making an important contribution towards the national goal of building resilience against disasters.

The quarterly nationwide simultaneous earthquake drills are coordinated across the country to check for the preparedness levels of different organizations in terms of handling seismic events, especially in relation to a possible magnitude 7.2 quake commonly known as β€œThe Big One.”
