San Jose, Mayantoc, Tarlac, 17 October.
Β
The 665-hectare TAU forest reserve has been the site of the University’s annual bamboo propagation activities that aim to control soil erosion, especially on slopes and riverbanks, and protect the environment since bamboo is proven to sequester more carbon compared to other plants and trees in the ecosystem.
Moreover, bamboo is also one of the flagship commodities of TAU that is also used in the production of Engineered Bamboo products.
