The Korean Association of Southeast Asian Studies (KASEAS) opens one slot for a postgraduate student (master’s or doctoral) in the Philippines who are currently enrolled in any higher education institution (HEI) including Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU), to apply for the ASEAN–Korean Young Scholar Research Grant 2025.

Postgraduate students whose study covers the following areas are encouraged to apply:

Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) or any specific ASEAN countries ASEAN–Korea relations and comparative research

ASEAN-Korea cooperation priorities (gender, climate change, sustainable development, cyber security, and peacebuilding)

ASEAN Post-2025 Vision (integration, connectivity, institutional development, identity politics, regional geopolitics)

Interdisciplinary studies in science technology and engineering with Southeast Asian relevance

Qualified applicants will be given a roundtrip airfare and a monthly stipend of USD 1,300 (approximately Php 75,700) up to three months covering the accommodation and research costs. Also, they will be provided with academic mentorship and networking opportunities.
