Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) - Gender and Development (GAD) office led by Dr. Ma Theresa B. Nardo along with TAUβs GAD Focal Point System (GFPS) took a proactive step to strengthen its GAD initiatives through a benchmarking activity with the officials from Central Luzon State University (CLSU) at the Administration Conference Room Old Building of CLSU in MuΓ±oz, Nueva Ecija, 10 September.
Dr. Nardo and the TAU GFPS met with the Director of the University Gender and Development Office of CLSU - Dr. Mercedita M. Reyes, who presented CLSUβs GAD Financial Assistance Program for Students, installation of gender-neutral toilets in various university areas, and scholarship programs.
TAU officials also had a campus tour and observed how GAD concepts were effectively integrated into CLSUβs institutional systems and services.
The exchange of ideas also highlighted the importance of continuous collaboration among higher education institutions in promoting gender equality and empowering communities.
