Dr. Amy Lizbeth J. Rico, Manager of the Tarlac Agricultural University - Smart Agriculture Center and a faculty member of the College of Engineering and Technology (CET), delivered a lecture to international participants during the Global Dialogues III: Climate Change and Environment, an event organized through the Enhancing English through Global Citizenship program of Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) on 3 October 2025, via Zoom.

Through this international engagement, Dr. Rico was able to share her expertise with students from China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Kenya, Mexico, the Philippines, and the United States of America (USA), offering valuable insights on smart agriculture and the impacts of climate change.

In her presentation, Dr. Rico emphasized the importance of integrating innovative agricultural technologies to address the challenges brought about by climate change. She also highlighted how smart farming practices, such as precision agriculture and data-driven crop management, can help enhance productivity while promoting environmental sustainability.
