𝐂𝐀𝐏𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐄𝐃 𝐈𝐍 𝐋𝐄𝐍𝐒 | Researchers from the Rice Chemistry and Food Science Division (RCFSD) of the Department of Agriculture - Philippine Rice Research Institute (DA-PhilRice) pay a courtesy visit to Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson, University President of Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU), at the TAU President’s Office on 20 August.

The activity serves as the researchers’ initial engagement with the University to discuss potential collaboration on the market research of Germinated Brown Rice (GBR), a form of brown rice commonly produced through germination.

To advance the development of GBR-based food products, the RCFSD, with the assistance of Ms. Maricar C. Estrada, a faculty member of the TAU Department of Food Science and Technology and a former PhilRice researcher, aims to strengthen its study through a market assessment that will determine the potential growth in GBR consumption.
