In his opening remarks, Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson, Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) President, emphasizes the significance of the ASEAN Festival as both a celebration of Southeast Asia’s uniqueness and diversity and a precursor to the Philippines’ upcoming ASEAN Chairmanship in 2026.

Dr. Salunson also stresses the organization’s vital role in promoting regional peace, stability, and sustainable development, framing the festival as an embodiment of these values. He further thanks the External Linkages and International Affairs (ELIA) Office for its role in organizing the event and expresses confidence in TAU’s continued leadership in internationalization and in carrying forward the spirit of a unified, inclusive, and sustainable regional community.
