Affirming its commitment to advancing student employability and workforce readiness, the Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) - Student and Placement Office (SPO) joined theΒ  26th National PESO Congress conducted by the Public Employment Service Office Managers Association of the Philippines (PESOMAP), in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and the Bureau of Local Employment (BLE) held at the Taal Vista Hotel, Tagaytay City from 15-17 October.

Representing TAU-SPO were Dr. Benny S. Soliman, Director, Student Placement Office, and Ms. Grace Kelly G. Dela Cruz, Vocational Placement Coordinator. Their participation highlighted the University’s proactive efforts to strengthen partnerships with government agencies and employment institutions, aligning with TAU’s mission to enhance graduate employability and support workforce development initiatives.

The event also gathered PESO managers, representatives from Higher Education Institutions (HEI), and employment advocates nationwide to discuss policy updates, reinforce collaboration in employment facilitation, and provide a venue for networking and professional exchange.

PESOMAP’s primary purpose is to professionalize and strengthen the operations of PESOs nationwide to enhance employment facilitation and labor services.

Underscoring TAU’s role in engaging with PESOMAP initiatives, Dr. Soliman reiterated the importance of participating in such events, which provide opportunities for employment facilitation and collaboration.

β€œThe PESO Congress is an annual event that brings together Public Employment Service Office (PESO) Managers and Job Placement Officers from across the Philippines. TAU stands to benefit from this gathering by strengthening the delivery of responsive job placement services for its students and alumni. The event promotes the exchange of best practices, encourages innovation, and explores the implementation of enhanced employment strategies to serve our stakeholders better,” Dr. Soliman remarked.

Meanwhile, Ms. Dela Cruz also shared her message, stating, β€œThe 25th National PESO Congress brings together PESO Managers and Job Placement Officers to strengthen employment programs and advance inclusive labor market policies in the Philippines. This milestone event marks 25 years of dedication to job creation, skills development, and economic empowerment. As JPO, we come to celebrate the 25 years of matatag at maayos na paglilingkod β€”Β  a legacy built on.”
