After hurdling the rigorous selection process, three students from Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) were accepted into the Asian Undergraduate Summit (AUS) this year.
Bren Noah Nieto, Jerick Juliano, and Mylene Sugue join their fellow youth, albeit virtually, in engaging in educational, cultural, and social exchange.
In an interview with AUS organizers, Bren Noah, BS Psychology student, expressed his excitement about befriending student-advocates from different countries. “Being part of AUS is indeed an honor. The one segment I certainly love is the Cultural Night, as it gathers together unique cultures in this fun and knowledge-filled celebration,” Bren shared.
Formerly known as University Scholars Programme, AUS is an international programme organized by the National University of Singapore (NUS) College and supported by the Temasek Foundation. The program which has been running for eight years usually spans two weeks and comprises special classes, tours, and project collaboration among participants.
TAU is the only Philippine university invited in this year’s AUS.
